GarageThis division, which has 12 employees, is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep
of all City-owned vehicles and equipment as well as buses owned and operated by
Gateway, and provides welding services for the entire City. They purchase
gasoline and diesel fuel for City vehicles and equipment as well as for the Gateway
vans and buses, Village of Walnut Creek vehicles, and Wayne County Public Library
vehicles (these agencies are billed for fuel used at the same pergallon price as
paid by the City). Garage staff members also assist with the preparation of
specifications for new vehicles and equipment as needed. |
